Ray\u2019s scholarship is designated to recipients attending Piedmont Virginia Community College.<\/p>\n<p>Since 2005, the company has presented 37 scholarships for a total of $28,000 to high school students in the county. Scholarship recipients must demonstrate good character, academic achievement and leadership to be recognized.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur company is strongly committed to educating the next generation of leaders,\u201d said Robert Mayfield, plant manager at the Tenaska Virginia Generating Station. \u201cWe are pleased to help young men and women who have demonstrated their potential as leading citizens to earn their college degrees.
